Subject and Association DescriptionCecilia Sophia Rutter Warden née Wilford (b. 1862 Kiama, m. 1882, Ulladulla, d. 1947 Nowra) was born into and married into two of the most prominent families in the Milton Ulladulla district. She lived on the Sunnyvale Property with her husband Alick Frederick Warden and later her son Henry (Harry) David Warden. The Sunnyvale estate was an important local dairy farm on which Harry further developed the breed of Australian Illawarra Shorthorn cattle.
This decorated leather side-saddle shows her status as a wealthy, genteel lady.
